Election Science Institute

Election Science Institute (formerly Votewatch) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan and non-advocacy organization founded to promote transparency in American elections and ensure that every vote cast is counted fairly and accurately. We greatly value a democratic process in which the voices of ordinary people are easily heard and strongly considered. Pursuit of this value in the 21st century requires effective collaboration among citizens, election officials and legislators, along with deployment of unimpeachable election processes and the best technologies available. Our strategy is to bring together county election officials and citizens with expert researchers, engineers and leading technologies to create model election systems that are auditable and transparent. By embedding scientifically-based best practices into local election systems, our democratic ideals are well-served.
